You play as Taz, the famous cartoon-character. Taz is captured by Marvin the Martian and transfered to his intergalactic Zoo! Now it is your job to aid Taz in his great escape from the Zoo-prison and also find a way back home to Earth. To make the escape a little easier, there are items placed here and there, such as cakes which make regain your health. You also find gas tanks, which you can eat and then breath fire.

Someone Needs To Stop Leaving All Their Bombs on the Floor
This review is for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis version

This game is a platformer, where you play as Taz the Tasmanian Devil. The main gimmick is that he can spin to go really fast. The main issue I have with this game is that the levels are designed for precise platforming... but Taz was designed to quickly spin his way through the level.

Every time you hit something while spinning, you get knocked back. This is a problem because the game is filled with tiny platforms that have bombs lying on them. If you touch the bomb when not spinning then you will eat the bomb and loose some life. These sections feel like there is no way to not take damage. If you spin the bomb and destroy it then you will be knocked back into spikes, otherwise you eat the bomb.

The levels are varied and are actually kind of creative at times. I enjoyed most of the areas' aesthetics (except the haunted house which is a miserable world to get through).

The worst part of the game is the gameplay, but a close second is the music. Some of these tracks sound terrible and i don't understand how they passed QA.

Overall, this is a below average game, but it has some moments of genuine fun so its not really deserving of 1 star in my books. If they got rid of knockback for instances where TAZ is not being damaged then I may have considered this to be 3-3.5 stars. That 1 feature really brings it down in my book because of how precise some of the platforming is here.
