Beat on Difficult using slow motion mode. I definitely played this back in the day and most likely beat it since the challenge was not particularly hard. I did the stages in order other than doing the mines last because it sent me back to the castle to find a key. I had to redo the jungle stage due to not having enough money, though I did not notice any other stage having any kind of progress locked behind looting. Weird to only have it for the 1st stage though a walkthrough said there were 2 ways past without paying. The pogo stick and collecting treasure were what I remember about this game, and it did not disappoint in that regard. That was such a unique way to platform and defeat enemies, with some good level design to take advantage of it. A few spots were tricky due to respawning enemies and some of the bosses could be a little dangerous. The game was fun and creative but very short and lacking in content and mechanics when compared to the top platformers of the NES. I found the looting and money score a bit more compelling than in other collectathons but having so much loot be invisible was a little annoying.
