Finally, in the final content for the game, I loved Persona 5, I have to admit... Royal is not working as well for me. I am still enjoying it, it is still clearly good, but I think it is suffering from a great deal of "too much of a good thing" and "giving fans what they want doesn't always make a better game."

I'll reserve full thoughts till I hit credits, but as I go through the new palace Royal added, I can't help but feel like it's the perfect example of adding content, while hurting the original pacing of the game. Climatic crescendo came to a screeching halt, and now I am having to force myself to play more.

3rd semester spoilers.

No way did I learn of a certain Persona character's birthday on my birthday. And what it means.

Rumi's birthday is February 3rd. The day the Phantom Thieves steal Maruki's heart. Maruki CHOSE that date to further his stance of a perfect reality because of her.I'M HURT GODDAMMIT.

The best stories have a moral ambiguity to them. The final palace in this game definitely has that feeling. Can't believe this journey is almost over.

One of the things I really love about this game is the progression of power. At the beginning, the enemies can kick your ass so easily. However, if you keep catching personas, upgrading confidants and getting your skills maxed out, you turn into an almost god like creature. At this point, I basically have personas that can block any type of attack, depending on if I switch the mask before the enemy attacks. And with my baton passing and more, I'm taking down the toughest enemies with relatively no problem.
