Finally finished Persona 5 Royal at almost 100 hours exactly. I have good news for both fans of the original as well as people on the fence and waiting for this version its real damn good. All the things that made the original one of my Top 10 games of all time are still there with even more things added on top to make it the definitive way to play the game. For me the new characters and third semester only added to the experience, better pacing out the end and adding a few new twists that really blew me away. Even the initially seemingly minor gameplay tweaks streamlined the dungeon crawling and daily life activites to just make the game an even better time. The new music is fantastic, the visuals are gorgeous, and Kasumi may not be best girl but she's pretty damn close. I'm immediately starting a second playthrough to max out all confidants and complete the Persona compendium. I can't recommend Persona 5 royal highly enough.

P5R keeping up the tradition of the enhanced versions of Persona games having way worse Opening videos than their original versions, smh.

Aside from that, it's promising to see that the changes in P5R seem to be pretty thorough from the starting scenes - though whether that will amount to meaningful changes to problems i had with the base game …

Aside from that, it's promising to see that the changes in P5R seem to be pretty thorough from the starting scenes - though whether that will amount to meaningful changes to problems i had with the base game is to be determined - may my next 130 hours be lived in hope.

Pretty excited to get back into this world here in a few weeks. Sounds like it’s a pretty different game and worth replaying if you liked the original.
