Capitolo insolito

Voto: 7/10

Making This Easier Ruins The Game.

I'm actually surprised that by dumbing down the difficulty it can ruin a game. Not the worst game ever made, but easily the worst Devil May Cry game. I'm actually surprised that by dumbing down the difficulty it can ruin a game. Not the worst game ever made, but easily the worst Devil May Cry game. It sacrifices all the style, flair and finesse from the 1st game to implement a few new features that aren't even that useful. Almost every enemy, including bosses, requires the same strategy: sword combo, dodge, sword combo, dodge, etc. and dante's gun is overpowered. Not like the 1st game which actually made you THINK about how to approach each enemy. The combos also feel completely stale compared to the original game, where you basically just spam the triangle button repeatedly then hit circle to dodge. No variation whatsoever, whereas DMC1 had you press different directions for different moves or hold down triangle to charge your attacks. Even the sound effects of the sword slashes aren't nearly as cool as they were in the 1st game. Then there's the stinger attack, which was insanely badass in the original, but now looks like Dante is literally just hopping forward and gently poking his enemies.

Overall its just a very boring game even though i like the artstyle it looks somewhat celshaded, The story, gameplay, music, everything is worse than the first, it's really a disappointment.
