An arcade style TPS, which in 53 levels, pits you against giant ants, giant spiders, giant robots and UFOs. Luckily for you, the game has an arsenal of over 150 different weapons and 4 different vehicles, all collectible throughout the game. And don't forget, every building is destructible! And how. The Xbox 360 version features 2-player split-screen multiplayer where you can play cooperative or versus battle.

My Favorite Dumb Game
This review is for the Xbox 360 version

I love this game. It's like comfort food to me, like a hotdog on the grill and apple pie. It just feels right. Everything about this game is extra. It's fun and challenging and the NPC dialogue is hilarious. I loved this when I was younger and it might not translate well for new players, but at the time this was an all time favorite of mine.

This review is for the Xbox 360 version

No game has gumption like EDF. No other game has the balls to make the most basic enemy an ant the size of a bus. No other game lets the player get away with such wanton collateral damage. No other game has the audacity to throw so much at you and fill the screen with such massive explosions that your neighbours will think aliens really have invaded and will hide in their cellars. The sheer spectacle is a sensory supernova.

I somewhat enjoy this as a very straightforward thing to do while listening to a podcast at the end of the day, but I can only play a few missions at a time before getting tired of it. Don’t think I’ll likely be joining the cult following, but I could see myself popping in to kill some time on it occasionally.
