The game was developed by Media Molecule and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe for the PlayStation 3 console, and is the last major Little Big Planet game in the series to be produced by Media Molecule, as the sequel, Little Big Planet 3 would be produced by Sumo Digital, Tarsier Studios, and The Station. Unlike the original LittleBigPlanet which was marketed as a "Platform game", LittleBigPlanet 2 was marketed as a "Platform for Games". The game is 100% backwards compatible with all user-created content (including personal profiles) from the first game. It is a direct sequel to LittleBigPlanet, and the third game in the series. The disc also features Sackboy's Prehistoric Moves, a ModNation Racers demo, as well as a PlayStation Network tutorial video. Read less

Truly an Incredible Sequel

9.0/10!

The game honestly does everything the first game does, and more! It introduces a lot of new tools to the game, and so many cool creative concepts in the story mode. I couldn't stop from smiling at how many new cool stuff was being introduced as you couldn't in the story, in particular with the mechanics. Then, I love …

LBP2

come platform è orribile, con una fisica dei salti inguardabile e una sensazione continua di infantilità. L'editor dei livelli è ottimo, ma non è quello che cerco in un platform. Ottima l'idea della continuità con il precedente, per uniformare la piattaforma. Voto: 7/10

Liked this game, great successor to the original one. Story mode is not very long, just enough to enjoy it. Particularly I liked the 4th planet, where you need to ride different "transport" and sometimes LBP2 reminds a Sonic game, sometimes it's flying shoot'em'up - very creative zone.

Sad to see that online is not live anymore and all community …

Sad to see that online is not live anymore and all community levels are gone. Would be nice to try some of them.

The Best Game Made by Media Molecule

Very creative, but not as good as the later installments in the series. The soundtrack is not great, but a couple of modern remixes of disco tracks from the early levels stand out. Very creative, but not as good as the later installments in the series. The soundtrack is not great, but a couple of modern remixes of disco tracks from the early levels stand out. What I hated about the first game is the limited amount of lives for every checkpoint (you lose those lives - you play the level from scratch) - and it's back, unfortunately. Despite the game's lighthearted look and feel it was very frustrating at times, especially the final boss. But yeah, variety of mechanics and even genres is fantastic and makes LBP2's shortcomings forgivable.

Awesome game definitely one of my top 5. So much power given to the player. So many options and creativity. Great with friends too.
