Broken Sword 5: The Serpent's Curse is a classical point & click adventure. It abandons 3D graphics and direct control which were used in the two predecessors and returns to the style of the first two games. The only major technical differences are a higher resolution and that the characters are modelled instead of drawn. The game uses an intelligent mouse cursor: a right click on a hotspot results in looking at the item and a left click triggers an item-specific action. The game uses an intelligent mouse cursor: a right click on a hotspot results in looking at the item and a left click triggers an item-specific action. Of course this is the main ingredient of the puzzles: collecting items and using them on other items in order to solve problems. On some occasions there are also logic puzzles from a zoomed-in view on an object, e.g. connecting cables of an engine in order to repair the car's horn. Another important part of the game are conversations with the various characters, some of them known from previous instalments. During the course of the game the controlled character switches between George and Nico. A help function supports players who are stuck. Less

This was a great iOS game.

This was a great iOS game. Perfect for passing the time at the gym. Took a while 18 hours so it was work the $12 I paid. Except for 2 puzzles I easily handled it. (those 2 were quite abstract) I would really like BS6 and since it has been 10 years! I think it is possible. More Nico!

Slowly Delving Into Point-and-Click

I have heard a lot about the Broken Sword series over the years, yet this was my first time experiencing it properly. Overall I rather enjoyed the game, although I don't feel like it's the best experience I can get from the series.

I intend to go back and play some of the earlier games at some point and see if the series has more for me.

After games three and four of this series were an utter disappointment, I was ready to give up. However, after some friendly encouragement from a Grouvee member, I decided to give it a chance.

And I loved it.

This is the "updated graphics" that three and four *should* have had. It's a return to the same art style, and all of our favorite characters are back again. The same humor from the series is present in this one, and yes, you get to show every single item in your inventory to every single character (woo!).

I really enjoyed this. Solid, high-quality point and click adventure game and true to the original series.

After a friendly recommendation from you guys that the 5th one is not nearly as bad as 3 and 4, we've started this. And so far I absolutely love it. :D
