Making It Up as I Go

Ugh, this game. After the fun of playing the Emperor's Tomb, I was hoping for another good game in the Indiana Jones library. Instead, this dud was delivered to us. The story is an average enough adventure for Indy, he's hunting for the Staff of Moses by visiting some cookie-cutter locations that aren't that pretty and the cast of characters doesn't stick to my mind as much as those you encounter in Emperor's Tomb. The graphics are improved, but it's a small consolation.

The gameplay is very restrictive. Lots of quick-time events to do anything and the ability to use your gun is restricted to shooting gallery sections. The combat is pretty standard beat'em up fare, but I give the game credit for hotkeying his whip, making it easy to use it during fist fights.
Granted, this game did suffer some development troubles that saw a promised PS3 & XBox 360 version cancelled and I think I remember hearing LucasArts pulled some talent from this game to work more on Force Unleashed. You can tell after playing through this simple, uninterested game.
