I really enjoyed this one (despite the meager rating). It’s a solid serial killer / mansion themed point and click with some hidden object mini games here and there. Technically it’s in the HOPA genre, but honestly it plays a lot more like a standard horror point and click due to not overdoing the hidden object scenes and including a HUGE number and variety of other puzzles.

Great painterly backgrounds, interesting antagonist, tons of exploration and backtracking, all set in a cool worn down mansion. It tickles my survival horror brain and was a ton of fun to solve. Unfortunately, the sequel is nothing like it and the dev stopped making games in the genre. But hey, that makes it all the more special.

But ya, 2 stars is only because its nothing super original or stand out, and I don’t want to crowd my review log with tons of these HOPA titles unless they’re really extraordinary. It’s a solid game though and probably more around the 3 star mark.
