Children of Silentown is a dark adventure game that tells the story of Lucy, a young girl growing up in a village deep into a forest inhabited by monsters. People disappearing is nothing uncommon in the village, but this time, Lucy is old enough to investigate on her own. Or so she thinks.

It's an alright adventure game that starts out well, but it ends so abruptly that I wonder if the budget just ran out on an overly-ambitious project. I got the golden ending, but I actually thought the messier endings were better, a bit more interesting and character driven. As it is, the golden ending turns the story into a simple parable, and it ultimately lacks any identity beyond the message it wants to impart.
A disppointment. I liked the art style.
