Heroes of Might and Magic IV is a turn-based strategy game developed by Gus Smedstad through New World Computing and published by the 3DO Company for Microsoft Windows-based personal computers in 2002. The fourth installment of the popular Heroes of Might and Magic franchise, it is the sequel to Heroes of Might and Magic III, and was the last to be developed by New World Computing.

This is my favourite game of all in heroes series. This is my childhood game. İt's music is amazing

Come tutti i giochi della saga è avvincente e una volta iniziato diventa difficile staccarsene (la famosa sindrome da "ultimo turno e poi smetto"). Certo la grafica ormai è datata e le animazioni sono realizzate piuttosto male, per non parlare del fatto che manca la griglia dei combattimenti; anche le storie delle campagne non sono particolarmente brillanti o connesse tra …

Come tutti i giochi della saga è avvincente e una volta iniziato diventa difficile staccarsene (la famosa sindrome da "ultimo turno e poi smetto"). Certo la grafica ormai è datata e le animazioni sono realizzate piuttosto male, per non parlare del fatto che manca la griglia dei combattimenti; anche le storie delle campagne non sono particolarmente brillanti o connesse tra loro. Insomma non uno dei capitoli migliori della serie, ma la giocabilità resta il punto di forza e lo rende comunque un buon prodotto.

Although it is the first Heroes game that is widely considered kind of a flop, it is a favourite of my childhood. I never played Heroes 3, only Hereoes 2 before this, which was still a bit basic in mechanics and lore....So 4 was the first title to draw me in. Perhaps it is less balanced and the gameplay may be worse than Hereoss 3 to most people it seems.... but it's so immersive! The music, the writing and the lore... they are so much superior than any other Heroes title to me.
