There are two kinds of people: the rulers and the ruled. The Heights are a gorgeous utopia. The Depths, a filthy industrial wasteland. Our heroine, raised in the Heights, has nothing but contempt for those below. Now an observation mission requires her to descend into that world, and the gears of fate have begun to turn.

[Playing the Switch Release]

[Aksys has announced a shitton of upcoming VN localizations, which is really cool. I saw that there's a Piofiore sequel coming as well, which I doubt I'll get unless it goes super cheap, because that first game was, unfortunately, one of the blandest VNs I've played.]

Because this past week has been so busy with pre-planning/back to work for teachers, I haven't really had time to sit and play Tales of Graces, though I was wrapping up sidequests before the final dungeon last time I played. I started up Bad Apple Wars on Vita finally about a week ago to play something more casual for a bit before bed, and while it's got a kookiness that I like, it was really dragging. The main character isn't questioning any of the weird stuff happening to her, or just lets it happen and goes along with whatever. Every interaction with the first dude is the same thing over and over: he just studies obsessively. I knew Bustafellows was coming out, so I was gonna pick that up, but decided to grab the Switch release of Steam Prison yesterday first since it was on sale and is regularly like $65???

The backgrounds are really beautiful, the music is nice, the plot is intriguing, and I think I like the MC for the most part. There are six dudes plus other miscellaneous routes, and a lot of endings, so I hope I dig this one!
