Eating my words..

I had so hoped Endoparasitic 2 would be the game I dreamed it would be. I was so blown away by the first couple areas that I went back and played the whole first game, leaving mildly impressed. This seemed to be the new and improved version from all signs… but boy was I wrong.

The cool feel of the gameplay is still here, and some things are definitely more polished. The graphics, movement, and UI are all generally improved. There are also missing elements such as a map and some nonlinearity, as well as weapon upgrades.

Very disappointing… the whole concept has so much potential, and it could’ve been one of the greats this year. But overall I had more fun with the more rudimentary first game, despite that one not really being a survival horror game. Oh well.
