Everything finally clicked and I went from usually failing to beat the second boss to clearing the 3rd and 4th stages plus the final boss in one fell swoop. First clear was with Xingcia for no special reason. She just happened to have an Ember boost that run.

I bought this solely because they added Sophie, Ryza, and Yumia from the Atelier series to the game.I haven't actually used them yet, but the game's alright. Most of the basic Musou combat mechanics are there but it's more of a isometric graphic design than the usual style. It's also a roguelike.

I do find it odd that Ryza costs more (free currency, no micros for anything but costumes) to unlock than Sophie or Yumia even though Sophie is obviously the superior alchemist. Maybe they based cost on thigh thickness or popularity/sales.
