more or less everything is just like pokemon, unapologetically mediocre and well put together but thats it ,it has no style no substance everything falls flat and is as in your nose and hand-holdy as it possibly can be. The skilsets of monsters stop being interesting by level 20 and most of the fun is just rummaging ur brain to make a well built team, when (aside from the end game fights) grinding is the right thing to do. Also quantity > quality , the monsters are all over the place in terms of design (goblins). The slime and the kitsune were my favourite.

After playing a decent bit of this, it's just ok. The music is boring, the monsters are uninspiring, the platforming is easy and there is little to no risk when failing, the puzzle aspect of platforming is almost non-existent. But the battling has enough strategy to be better than pokemon and digimon. So, if you want turn-based battles with customizable …

man.. sometimes you play games like this and wonder how its not 100 percent positive.. what a beautiful masterpiece.

Great mechanics, gameplay, and controls that felt easy enough to understand but had a ton of depth. It was really enjoyable to find different monsters that unlocked different parts of the world ; it felt fun and exciting instead of feeling forced and forgetful like in Pokemon games where you will forget where to use the new abilities.

I loved the leveling up system and was always excited to place a new talent or try to evolve one of my monsters . I thought the "talk" feature to remind you where to go next was perfect and a feature i feel like all games should have some version of ; it sucks having to google stuff for games all the time because of vagueness.

Stop reading reviews and try the game , you will know in two hours if you love the game or not.

The novelty of this really wears off after an hour or so, but I'm still gonna keep going. It's definitely more complex than Pokemon, which means I may not be able to understand it well enough to get very far, but I'm gonna play it til I can't I guess.
