Elden Ring is an action RPG developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, released in February 2022. Directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, with world-building contributions from novelist George R. R. Martin, the game features an expansive open world called the Lands Between. Players assume the role of a customisable character known as the Tarnished, who must explore this world, battle formidable enemies, and seek to restore the Elden Ring to become the Elden Lord. The game builds on the challenging gameplay mechanics familiar from the Dark Souls series but introduces a more open-ended structure with vast exploration, dynamic weather, and a day-night cycle. It offers deep lore, complex characters, and an interconnected world filled with secrets, dungeons, and powerful bosses. Read less

I know tilt-shift is done to death, but I really love the diorama aesthetic of this effect as applied to Elden Ring.

Finally, Bloodborne 2. (She wasn't so bad [if you use Mimic Tear and Corpse Piler] compared to every other boss I fought)

Despite its flaws ... its truly a remarkable experience. The storytelling really needs improvement very often seems close to impossible to know where to go to progress the story of side quests.

But all in all ... is a truly great game.

The Fire Giant can seriously fuck right off. This is the first time I’ve hit a wall in this game and died more than twice to a boss. I got him down to a sliver of his life three times now and messed up at the very end each time. I’m just way to tired for this fight. I need …

Having played most popular fromsoft games like dark souls 2, 3, sekiro, and code vein. I have been waiting for this to drop ever since I got a hint of it. Dark souls 2 brought me into the souls-like genre which, I know isn't the best of the series but still, it gave me the taste of what a souls-like game is. It gave me the euphoria of finally defeating a boss after dying thousands of times to it. Followed by dark souls 3 and then sekiro, which came with a different playstyle but still gave the same satisfaction of finally defeating a boss. Picking up Elden ring I was worried if I would have the time and patience to complete such a colossal game. But after starting it up they were the least of my worries. To my luck, I didn't come across the tree sentinel just after stepping out of the first step which made life a lot easier. I would say Fromsoftware made this one friendlier to newcomers at the same time, those who seek challenge can do that too. Ever since I discovered spirit summons none of the bosses took me more than a day like genichiro and Ishhin which took more than a week for me to beat. I was able to quickly go through the story without much frustration with my trusty dual-wield katanas and mimic tear. Now I have started a new run which I hope to finish without any spirit summons and meta build. Even in the second playthrough, I saw so much content I have missed, so many details I have overlooked and the world itself is a bliss to be immersed in. Again, fromsoftware has delivered a masterpiece that will be replayed and talked about for many more years to come.

The best game ever played on my PC since dark souls 3. Tried not open up youtube to seek for walkthrough and at last I failed and started subscribing to youtubers who can guide me throughout the path and also followed reddit for extra info about the game

Honest question, once you have the Mimic Tear Ashes, is there really a point to using any of the other Ashes?

Having made it through several late game areas and arrived at the final boss I feel like I can firmly state that the last 1/4 of this game is not very good at all and as I struggle to work up the motivation to finish I am left with a feeling of profound disappointment.

So they un-nerfed Radhan. Time to go fight Radhan before they decide to nerf him again!

Question for people playing Elden Ring, where did you head immediately after completing the Academy of Raya Lucaria?

Killed the Magma Wyrm and picked up the Moonveil katana. No regrets, even if I had to pour a lot of points into intelligence just to wield it (23 total). I wasn't going to grab Moonveil, everyone's favourite beam projecting Katana, partially because it requires Int to wield and because I already have two Uchigatanas that inflict over 60 bleed but....
