I’ve been playing some of this in VR just to feel like I’m physically in the Star Wars universe again, after hearing that Disney is closing the Galactic Starcruiser live action role playing hotel and theme park experience that I did last fall. It was literally like a video game that you inhabited for two days, the most amazing thing I’ve ever done. Heartbreaking that it’s closing without more people being able to experience the stories and characters that played out.

The only negative for me was that the campaign alternates between missions for the empire and missions for the rebellion. It made it hard for me to get into the story and really root for 'my side'. I would have prefered 2 seperate campaigns.

Well, that's a wrap for the story mode. Rather short since it's more a tutorial for the apparently now deserted multiplayer than a proper game.

I liked it a lot and I actually wish there were more but I have zero interest in multiplayer.

Still enjoying the pew pew. The story is boring and the dialogue is terrible. The one-sided conversations with teammates are tedious and add nothing since characters are so one-dimensional that I'm surprised they are rendered in 3D in VR.

There are also a lot of lines referencing some of the politics of Star Wars, which I never understood or cared about; for me Star Wars is lasers, swordfights, dogfights in space and silly aliens. I ended just skipping most dialogues, which is something I almost never do.

Playing inside a TIE fighter now I realise why they get their ass handed to them every time. With no shields and severely limited field of view, they are terrible.

Honestly I don't know who designed the TIE fighter to not have ANY peripheral field of view, but Darth Vader must've force-chocked them to death when they showed it to …

Playing with VR and a stick this is pretty fun. Couldn't play for long tonight thanks to a neighbourhood-wide power outage. 😩

Pretty neat so far. I'm just going through the campaign before trying multiplayer to learn it. Haven't tried VR mode yet either, but am looking forward to it.

"Review is for single-player only."

I'm not a huge Star Wars fan. Watched all the movies, played few games etc.

Especially i don't even enjoy these kinda space-shoter fps's (or whatevet you call) mostly. I don't like laser sound, i'ma bullet type of guy.

This game did a really good job combining the space dog fight elements into the FPS genre.

Cockpit view is great. Gives you the feel.

Completed on 'Pilot' difficulty yet game is still challenging. You can go for harder difficulties if like or if you are not a noob like me in this type of games.

Story is okay. Fits the lore. Even if you don't know anything about the Star Wars, you can still enjoy it. You play as both Imperial and a Republic pilot.

Characters are fine. Acceptable in this universe. Good guys and the bad ones. Many dialogues and side characters you can interact with.

Customization is good for single-player. Serves as warm-up for multi-player.

Graphics are amazing. Visual effects are on point. Well, that's what EA for. So.

Sound effects are great. As i mention above, even though me being not a huge fan of laser sound, eveything else feels great. Explosions are tense.

Atmosphere is wooofff.

Overall, i really enjoy my time here. Couldn't find spesific cons.

Play it, it's a good, solid game.

Builds on the story of Alphabet Squadron, and has player engagement similar to that of Fallen Order, but it the campaign is a drag, and the Imperial missions lack something compelling.

I don't know how can I be enjoying this game so much... because I absolutely SUCK at it.

No, really, I'm terrible. But somehow I'm still having fun.

Sorry teammates!

I'm not playing this, but my boyfriend bought a HOTAS just to play Squadrons. Figured I'd put this here since he had me show off his controller work before, haha.
