Well, the VR experience on this game has it's pros and cons.
On the good side, VR is a good match for a game in which you see the world from wall-mounted cameras.
On the bad side, the implementation has a huge problem in that there is no button to rotate the camera. So if you need to look at something that's, say, 90º to the right, you need to physically move your head all the way there, which hurts a lot, even after a short time.
There's also the issue of the game forcefully moving you to a different camera, Resident Evil Style with no warning and pointing in random directions that almost always is the wrong one.
I played a few hours and my neck decided for me. I'll try the flat version, though.
I played this one in VR, and it's a good fit if you get motion sickness because the view is always from a fixed security camera. They do a good job building out an interesting dystopian world. The totalitarian government watches everyone with the cameras, so it's a nice fit together. There are tons of audio logs that help flesh out the world. The primary gameplay is stealth and it can be a bit janky, but I still had fun making my way through the story and levels.
Just finished Episode 2 of 5, part of me wants to keep going, part of me wants to drop the game. The setting and story is really intriguing, the whole gameplay feels... weird and clunky, so that's definitely a bummer. And I heard a lot of bad things about the ending and episode 4 in particular, so let's see...
