Pandora Tomorrow takes place in Indonesia during the spring of 2006, in which the United States has established a military presence in the newly independent country of East Timor to train that country's military forces in their fight against anti-separatist Indonesian guerrilla militias. Foremost among these Indonesian militias is the Darah Dan Doa (Blood and Prayer), led by Suhadi Sadono.

A less polished Splinter Cell game

I've enjoyed this game a bit less than the first one. I think it's less polished around the shooting mechanics and gun handling part. I still love that it's a stealth game (compared to Conviction and Blacklist which are really something else). I don't think I would replay this one, but I probably would replay the original one, and definitely …

The story was rather weak and short.

OK sequel, but not great. The story was rather weak and short. The best mission was the last. I enjoy this type of game. No run and gun. More secret. Definitely play the next one, but not as eager.

If you play the right port you'll have a great time

I remember the big selling point of this game being the jungle environments but that only comprises like 10% of the game! Regardless, it's more of the first game and you can't go wrong there. Another thing that surprised me is the ending. Perhaps the most laughably anticlimactic ending in the history of fiction.

My playthrough highlights:

Definitely an improvement from the first mechanic wise and some quality of life improvements but a pretty nothing story with an abrupt ending and still no quick saves. The check points were not as bad as in the first game but still would of been nice.

While a bit more hollywood-ish than the first part, Pandora Tomorrow still is a good game, even though shorter and not quite as thrilling as the first part.

Why Do Apocalypse Now What You Can Do Pandora Tomorrow?

So here's the thing: This was one of the very first Xbox Live games. If you had a solid enough internet connection, you could totally play the Spies vs Mercs mode, something that was getting a lot of hype at the time, and be a part of the future of gaming. If you, like me, had a crappy dial up …

So here's the thing: This was one of the very first Xbox Live games. If you had a solid enough internet connection, you could totally play the Spies vs Mercs mode, something that was getting a lot of hype at the time, and be a part of the future of gaming. If you, like me, had a crappy dial up connection because you lived up in the mountains, you were left with a single player campaign that didn't really do much to expand on the original Splinter Cell. This was a disappointing experience which sadly would not be rectified until the next console generation and a move to a major metropolitan area. But I appreciate the forward-thinking spirit, Ubi-Soft!
