For too long, the people have suffered under the heel of the heinous and decadent King Beebom. For too long, we have seen our fields crushed beneath the treads of his vile bubbletanks, heard our voices drowned out by the ceaseless propaganda of his mechanized megaphones. For too long have we wavered, but today it is time we fight back.
Our numbers are few, and our resources meager, but we have a weapon on our side more powerful than any musket. A tool far grander than any of his technological wonders. Indeed, King Beebom's reign shall end this very day, for in our grasp we have the awesome power of grid-based, roguelike puzzle combat!
Let's! Revolution! is a charming mashup of Minesweeper and the classic tactical roguelike Hoplite, where players claw through ten randomly-generated maps on their path to dethroning a petty tyrant. Like Minesweeper, there's a grid of hidden tiles and logic clues, concealing enemies and powerups alike. Like Hoplite, your chosen hero has a bevy of movement-based attacks that can handily clear each board, so long as you make smart use of your very limited MP.

It's great fun as a breezy puzzler at the lower end of the seven difficulty settings, with six classes that each have dramatically different abilities and goals. And it shows itself to be a devious and kinetic tactics game at the higher end, where total victory and ruinous defeat balance on the razor's edge of your good judgement.

The randomness which so often governs success in roguelikes is smartly mitigated by gold, which is amply rewarded for solid play and allows for reliable access to your preferred build. And the whole experience is elevated by the fantastic art direction, chill tunes, and delightfully punchable presence of the King and his goofy minions.
