Mindustry is a strategy game that combines building static defenses with resource management (extraction, transportion, distribution).

Back in the olden days there was this thing called "Real-Time Strategy". You would send harvesters/imps to get spice/gold and use those resources to buy tanks/warriors. Then you would command these forces to attack the enemy. You would also build bunkers, walls and cannons to defend from enemy forces.
At some point these "RTS" games fell out of favour and there was sort of a split. People who liked the tactical part would play MOBAs. People who liked building defenses would play Tower Defense games. Resource management kind of became a thing of the past.
So now there's Mindustry, this weird mix of TD and resource management. You have to build elaborate network to transport metals while building relatively simplistic defenses. It's weird that they took the part of RTS games was generally liked and focused on that. This game is definitely not for everyone.
On top of kinda feeling like work, the game also has you grind resources after winning to travel to new areas. Feels kinda pointless. And i have to admit that despite speaking English reasonably well i'm not …

On top of kinda feeling like work, the game also has you grind resources after winning to travel to new areas. Feels kinda pointless. And i have to admit that despite speaking English reasonably well i'm not familiar with (too) many of the technical terms used in this game. So yeah, even as someone who loves TD this isn't for me.
TL;DR: Work work
