Everybody knows what/who Pac-Man is from his heyday in the '80s, but this time, we're getting a whole new adventure of our little eater. Guess his stomach is full, 'cause there's nothing much to eat here, only collecting points. This is much like some Indiana Jones adventure, only your little hero's Pac-Man instead of Harrison Ford. Pac-in-time is the US release of Fury of the Furries. It's exactly the same game. Only the characters were changed: the not-so-known European Tinies (from the Skweek/Super Skweek/Tiny Skweeks/Brainies/Tinies games) were replaced by the widely known Pac-Man.

Pac is like a hyper six-year old more interested in bouncing off the walls.
This review is for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System version

Pac-in-Time is the worst Super NES video-game I’ve ever played. It's, unfortunately, failed at delivering the fun, light-heart experience I wanted, bogged down by horrible movement and repetitive game-play.

Oof, now here's a stinker. Pac-in-Time is an attempt to make a 2D sidescroller for good 'ol Pac-Man. Nothing wrong with that, but the instant I started playing... I wanted to stop playing. Pac-Man is very difficult to control in this game -- just moving around in general is a huge chore. Way too slippery, too bouncy, too unwieldy. You need to figure out where to use items you collect in this game (making this kind of sort of a puzzle platformer), but all the items are clunky and not that intuitive. As for the levels, they're the sort where you have to find things (in this case, the scattered Pac-Man dots) and then find the exit, and it's all a great big pain. Go ahead and pass on this one.
