I could quickly see how Syder Arcade would frustrate the fuck out of someone. That is because it's activates old nostalgic feelings of arcade shooters gone by. Bullets flying everywhere, and on harder difficulties replaying the levels over and over again until you get the timing just right. Definitely not the right atmosphere for some gamers, but I relished in it, for small doses at a time.

Hell I even liked the small amount of story put in. It was just enough to be like, "hell yeah doing this," but not too much to be like, "omg just let me shoot things."

The game is solid, with not many down points. It's visually stunning, but maybe a bit TOO stunning. I recall many-a-time in the early hour of playing where I lost track of bullets in the gorgeous background.

Also, I could have wished for more and more varied ship / ship stats.

Other than that, if you're a fan of bullet-hell in a shmup, there's nothing this game doesn't deliver on.
