The antagonist in Sniper Elite 3 is building Ratte tanks. The P. 1000 Ratte was an idiotic idea that apparently got some backing from that moron Hitler. He was obsessed with having the biggest and strongest tank, leading to the development of the 188 tonne Maus. The Ratte was supposed to be 1000 tonnes (!!) and have cannons like a battleship. The Maus was a waste of resources that constantly broke down and had trouble getting around. The Ratte would've been an insane waste of resources, and a much easier target for artillery and planes. Even worse, in the game they're building it in Africa. Good luck getting that back to Europe! By ending this project you help the Axis free up men, vehicles, construction materials, munitions, etc.
