Remake of Dead Estate Classic

I'm not generally a fan of roguelikes but this one won me over through a combination of gameplay that's skillful enough to (almost) never leave you feeling helpless or screwed over, a variety of characters with radically different playstyles, and-this is the thing that sold it for me-higher difficulty settings that are genuinely fun to play on. Enemies are buffed by making them more aggressive or giving them different attack patterns, but their health stays the same and they still do the same amount of damage as on lower difficulty settings, so what's being tested is your ability to make better decisions in shorter time frames, which is a hell of a drug. The isometric perspective can be somewhat frustrating to work with because it can be difficult to tell where something is when you're dealing with verticality, but this isn't nearly upsetting enough to make this game anything less than an absolute joy. FTL remains my favorite roguelike but this is very close, and as a bonus it's not nearly as hard to beat.
