After releasing Kirby and the Forgotten Land, HAL Laboratory surprised us with another Kirby spin-off.

And there isn't much to say. Unlike most spin-offs of the franchise, there isn't a story mode if you want to play offline, just the Gourmet Grand Prix mode, where you play two races, a minigame, and the battle royale mode at the end, so this game was created only to be played with friends.
The race mode is the biggest one, as the courses are way longer than the content you get during the minigames and battle royale, but don't expect a lot, as there are only eight stages and you have to level up to unlock two of them, so after playing for an hour you will most likely have experienced 80% of what the game has to offer.

Finally, the battle royale has you getting even more strawberries while trying to knock your opponents from the stage. This mode lasts one minute, and it's so frenetic you won't know what is happening most of the time, but I think that's part of the charm. It would be even better if it was more developed, but just like most of the game, you will have fun for like an hour until it gets stale.

In conclusion, unless you are a very big fan of Kirby I wouldn't recommend spending $15 on this, especially when you can buy better games at the same price, even with multiplayer included.
