Unimpressive: lack of storyline, depth and content.

Have you ever had the experience of seeing an exciting trailer for a movie, but when you go see it you realize that those three minutes were the only ones worth seeing? This game is like that and cannot be recommended.

I've been playing point-and-click games since the nineties and have been excited to see the genre making a comeback, but this game is what I feared. It has no proper storyline. There's no depth and it completely lacks content. The environment, conversations and interactions are extremely minimalistic. Every character I encountered didn't seem to have anything interesting to say. In fact, the game spoon-feeds you what is expected of you, that without giving any reasonable explanation to why you want to do something. And even when you know why, the writers didn't give the story any depth so you don't really care. Every character I encountered was either negative and/or a complete stoner meat-head. So there isn't a proper script nor were any characters given a personality beyond the bare minimum of those two. There wasn’t any goofing around or ridiculousness in the game either. In short, this game was boring and uninteresting.

I only bought the game since I thought it looked funny in the trailer. So not only am I unimpressed, I'm also disappointed. Even though I got the game on discount, I can't help but feel the $4 it cost was a ripoff. The graphics and voice acting were okey, and there were a few cheap laughs, but that's about all this game had to offer.

giopep's review of Kelvin and the Infamous Machine
