Cosy and Relaxing

I bought the game on February 5 this year. I love it! Customising your home and the variety of outfits are bigger in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but if decorating your house isn't the only goal you have, this game could still be worth your time.

I bought the game on February 5 this year. I love it! Customising your home and the variety of outfits are bigger in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but if decorating your house isn't the only goal you have, this game could still be worth your time.

Things I like about the game:

  • You can drink coffee! Shots, shots, shots! With a pigeon called Brewster!
  • You can save at any time you want if you're not on Tortimer's Island/Club Tortimer or if you're not inside someone else's town (however, trades don't take excessively long and I've played on Island Tours for 30 minutes and I can get around 48 medals - that's a great bargain for 1,000 Bells)
  • The badges are an achievement system. You can decide if you'd like to accumulate them if you wish
  • You can get extra items through Play Coins from your Pedometer
  • Your character can use a Mii character (although, you cannot place a hat on their head or wear an accessory, but oh well)
  • You don't have to play the game a specific way. Everything is your choice
  • The events for special occassions are exciting and fun to play but optional
  • Cute graphics and animals
  • The ability to receive other people's designs through QR codes are like a godsend. I saw someone post a QR code for Mocha Overalls and I'm in love with the outfit. I chose another QR code for my town's flag, it just suits my town perfectly
  • The addition of the Amiibo. It gave more items than the original and you can scan Amiibo cards and figurines if you have any. The addition of MEOW coupons was very creative.

Things I don't like about the game:

  • I can't really think of anything at the moment

In conclusion, Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Welcome Amiibo is a cosy and relaxing computer game that takes your mind off your daily stress. I'm lucky I have a friend I can Streetpass, but even then, I'd still enjoy the game.

P-p-p-peak!?!?

God this game was peak.

Unlike new horizons this game came out actually finished. My small ass sunk hundreds of hours into that game on my rinky dinky 3ds. Minigames, Brewster, Town hall shit, all peak.

New horizons really got customization down though, new leaf didn't so that's sad.

Animal Crossing: New Leaf

One of my favorite games ever! I remember waking up everyday just to do all of my daily stuff for this game, and then being sad when I didn't have much left to do in it, so I would wait for the next day to come, and do it again. I have way too many great memories with this game. …

One of my favorite games ever! I remember waking up everyday just to do all of my daily stuff for this game, and then being sad when I didn't have much left to do in it, so I would wait for the next day to come, and do it again. I have way too many great memories with this game. The animal crossing world was one of peace and freedom to do what you wish. A genuine escape from reality, to a world where you control how your peaceful little town lives. I loved it for that reason. Overall, it really just represents a simpler time in my life.

5 cause like what's there to hate? Don't really give af about being mayor but parts of it are cool. As with all Animal Crossing games, they feel built to be played forever, but as with all things in life, it is transient and I get burned out. The series needs to have a sense of completion for me to play it again and again, but also that would totally fucking ruin the entire concept. Not everything has to be for me!

Horrible.

The point of this game is to bore, troll and enrage players. There aren't any goals or challenges, there's nothing interesting to do, there's no purpose to anything, and the animal characters are jerks. I lost my patience when some little gopher cunt insistently harangued me at length for turning the game off without saving first. I removed the cartridge …

The point of this game is to bore, troll and enrage players. There aren't any goals or challenges, there's nothing interesting to do, there's no purpose to anything, and the animal characters are jerks. I lost my patience when some little gopher cunt insistently harangued me at length for turning the game off without saving first. I removed the cartridge from my DS, brought it out to the garage, and smashed the thing to bits with a sledgehammer. The pleasure of physically destroying this 'game' was the only fun I had with it, and it is what bumps the rating up from 0 starts to 1 star.
