It could have been so good! Game & Wario occasionally makes great use of the Wii U Game Pad, occasionally recaptures the best parts of the WarioWare series, and occasionally makes you bored and frustrated. It isn't 100% focused on microgrames, instead focusing on a smaller amount of slightly larger games. Some of them are very entertaining and some of them are pretty dumb. Thankfully, there is one mode that does feature some of the microgrames the series is known for but they just aren't prominent enough. Multiplayer is mostly bad with one exception being a simple and clean implementation of pictionary. It works extremely well and is really fun to play in a group. The person drawing uses the Game Pad and all other players look at the TV. I love this mode.

I got Game & Wario free as part of Club Nintendo and I'm happy I did. It's hard to recommend shelling out money for it though unless you are really just starving for something to play on your Wii U.

I also picked up Game & Wario for Wii U as my free Club Nintendo game. Given the bad reviews, I'm surprised how much fun I had as I played for about an hour. It's still goofy WarioWare fun.
