Released in 2020, this is a sequel to Kirby Fighters Deluxe, one of the multiple 3Ds Kirby spin-offs I doubt most people remember.

And there is more content here, like a story mode, a single-player mode with 9 battles to do, more abilities, and the possibility to use other characters besides Kirby. However, the gameplay is still the same: Fighting using a specific ability against other Kirbies.
To be honest, I don't know why you would spend 20 dollars on this game when you can get Smash Bros Ultimate or any other fighting game with a bigger scope, so this is probably only for the most hardcore fanbase of the franchise, the kind of people that could do the entire story mode with all +20 "characters" without getting bored to get the 100% completion rate.

I'm gonna be brutally honest here: in a world that already has Super Smash Bros., Kirby Fighters 2 doesn't need to exist.
Look. It's a cute game. It can be really fun and its focus on playing 2 vs 2 allows for great co-op, but it doesn't offer anything new. It really feels like a really watered-down version of Smash for Kirby mains.

Well, I guess is a must-have for Kirby fans and it seems to have a healthy player base (I never had trouble finding a match online), but I was done with it really soon. All Kirbys are different and that allows some variety, but the matches end feeling really similar.
