I grew up watching my dad play this on PC, so I wanted to finally try it for myself. I generally enjoyed it more than the first - the characters have more character, the graphics are greatly improved, and there's more variety to the game - but it's a frustrating experience overall. Pre-mission text took forever to load. Max's turn speed was broken and needed to be manually altered in a text file. The platforming is what you'd expect from a game that came out in 2000 (unforgiving) as is the level design (unnecessarily large and empty). All this I could forgive with a better game, but having spent over an hour beating the final boss, I can't forgive MDK 2.
Very minor spoilers.
Glad I finally beat the game. Will never be playing it again.
