The writing is pretty good and the story fun. Collecting the teammates is cool and there are neat sections where you send them out in groups, so you have to think about group composition and stuff. The killer for me was that 99% of the battles are very easy and the encounter rate is pretty high, so after awhile everything felt like busywork.
I should mention that voice acting is bizarre but I kind of liked them all talkingwithouttakingabreath.
Overall, a good game with a fatal flaw. However, 75% completion is pretty good for me, so the game did a lot right as well.

getting a bit boring. combat is really not hard but really the killer is the random encounter rate.
story remains fun and it's addicting trying to collect all the people

Early going, but fun. Battles are easy but at starting to require a bit of thought. Writing is good. Even the voice acting is sort of refreshing because the characters talk like people actually would talk instead of pauses between every word like in other jrpgs.
