The past two weeks prior to this one I have been probably the most sick I've been in my life as far as I can remember. And with what I can only assume was a really bad cold or flu of all things (tested negative for covid twice). And even the two or three times I've had covid it was only a few days ordeal dealing with some congestion afterwards. I don't think I slept more than a few hours those two weeks considering the really bad cough I had and just general poor quality of life which OTC stuff did very little for. On top of that, I had to miss my best friend's Bachelor weekend shenanigans which was something I was really looking forward to these past few months. It goes without saying but I was really depressed and just not in a good headspace all around. Towards the tail end of my cold where I only had a bad cough to deal with, I picked this game up to dabble in and kill time with until Silksong. I didn't realize the amount of enjoyment I would get out of this and was surprised considering I fell off the latest Rune Factory game released back in May pretty quickly. I guess in my deliriousness this was just the kind of game I needed it seems.

I'm finding it very relaxing and fun, and I must say the soothing music is quickly becoming some of my favorite for relaxing, coming in very close to Animal Crossing's wonderful soundtrack. With that said, there's honestly not much for me to talk about as it isn't very different from previous iterations of the games. Or.. most farming type games really. Which isn't a bad thing, as it's a generally fun and solid formula. Even after being fully recovered and with a sudden influx of really good or interesting games that have released in such a short span of time and that I've picked up (Silksong, Hell is Us, Daemon x Machina, Cronos The New Dawn, Everybody's Golf Hotshots), I still find myself gravitating towards this game for some lengthy sessions, with Silksong close behind. Not sure how to explain it and I don't think it's uncommon, but I feel this is one of those games that will likely stick with me forever purely off the fact of the circumstances in which I played it.

I remember playing this one summer when I was a teenager, and I quite enjoyed it. It was a nice surprise to see that it's going to be released again. I think I'll pick it up just because I played it before via those DS ROM things, and now that I have the resources to, I'd like to somewhat pay back in a way, although I know it's not really the same.
