My sister got this from the library for a Friendsgiving get together. It was fun to play all the games together and try something different. Some of them seemed to have poor inputs for the motion controls (rhythm game didn't recognize movements unless the movement was really snappy). Pretty great mixture of games, and the ability to unlock characters will probably entertain those who are interested for quite a while. It feels very much like a gacha game which was a bit disconcerting for a kid game.
I'm glad we rented the game as I don't see us wanting to revisit it again (we are in our 30's and not the target audience), but I could see this being great for children. I remember spending hours playing all the mini games on Pokemon Stadium back when I was a kid. I can see this having a very similar type of appeal. The diversity in games in Tsum Tsum Festival keeps things pretty fresh. Being able to switch between versus and collaborative can also help take that sting off of a losing streak. The motion controls aren't near as good as something like Wii sports, but they work well enough.
