Beat on hard. I loved the basic mechanics of this game and found it to be one of the best 2D sidescroller shooters I have ever played; mainly because you can freely traverse each level without being forced to scroll in any direction. I really like the way you can change the orientation of your helicopter and how that affects which direction you shoot and how you move. Unfortunately, the premise of the game gets old because it never deviates from rescue hostages and kill bosses and has no story or even flavor text whatsoever. This game would have been much better if it was more like a sidescrolling version of the Strike series of helicopter games.

I got stuck in the 3rd level because I could not figure out how to rescue people in life boats. I tried everything I could think of, including checking a useless walkthrough, other than watching youtube videos. I eventually figured it out by button mashing; the ladder is a special weapon that you have to select and use like a bomb. There was one unused button and I fail to see why this could not have been made more user friendly. Some of the bosses were very difficult and not fun to fight.
