I much prefer the analog stick over the D-pad since it is larger and features more prominently on modern controllers. However games sometimes just ignore the “flick” aspect of the left stick where you will do a quick turn left or right and the stick moves back and forth and flicks back into the opposite direction you wanted to go. Ultimately that means the character is facing the wrong direction you intended. Clearly many games account for this, but when I run into a game that doesn’t it can be a huge misstep. This is one of those games and was a huge problem for me.
