The jingle is great, the versions of Godzilla and the other monsters are super cute (I know very little about the Godzilla universe, mind you), and I love that there's a level editor. Hopefully the seemingly simple, straightforward action/maze-type gameplay wont render it skipable. I played it for a bit thinking I'm trying to kill all the enemies on the screen, which seemed impossible but fun to smash them with the rock or lure them into the water. After peeking at a gameplay video, because the jingle and look made it seem potentially worth it, it seems you want to destroy all the rocks visible? We shall see..
As I started to play deeper into the game, I'm noticing there's more of a puzzle aspect than I expected, not straightforward action. A lot of early Japanese games loved the rock-based puzzles!
Welp, after 3 levels completed, I can confirm it's not a game for me, but super cute and worth playtesting if you like action-puzzle games! These types of puzzles where you basically have to get stuck/die in order to solve them, without unlimited lives a la Abe's Oddysee, is not my thing heh. Also the thing where the doors can either go back a level or forward, why... just let me go forward when I managed to destroy all the rocks. Anyway, technically a great game for 1985, the MSX is always top-notch, but I'm moving on.
