Run Daxter Run

I played this game when I was like 12 years old, and I just remember a friend of mine having a PSP and she didn't like it, so she lent me the PSP so I could play and pass the game for her. This was the game I played, and I remember I enjoyed it a lot!

I'm a huge fan of the first Jak and Daxter game, so much so that I found many of the changes in its (admittedly ambitious) sequels kind of disappointing. So I really enjoyed Daxter, a spin-off set between the first two games that achieves a far more capable compromise between them than I would have expected from a PSP game. The humor, the varied color palette, the collectibles and the platforming focus of the original are here and impressively recognizable, albeit in more modest form given the limitations of the original hardware.

The story's incidental, the missions grow a tad repetitive, and the one female character made me roll my eyes a few times, but otherwise this has aged remarkably well. Works great on Vita (RIP❤) with the L/R camera controls mapped to the right stick (you may also want to invert them via the in-game menu).

Tbh I don't really remember too much from Daxter, but the one thing that will always stick with me is that Matrix mini game lol xD. The game was pretty fun :).
