I bought this on after a friend talked about how much fun he was having with the multiplayer leagues.

I had already played Blood Bowl 1 quite a bit, and enjoyed it, so Blood Bowl II hasn't taken too much time to pick up the basics.

This game is a perfect recreation of the Miniature Board game by Games Workshop, of the same name. One thing I really like about this updated version, is that there is a great variety in the teams you can play, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. I also really like that the game gives you percentages for successes, rather then the first game, which kept things very vague.

So far, Blood Bowl 2, much like Blood Bowl 1, is a great game if you like the turn based style, and really shines when played for an extended time. There is a lot of fun to be had watching your players grow over the course of a league, and using small tricks, like short passes, to rope in extra XP.

The game is incredibly random, with some things, such as random events at kick offs, potentially skewing the game, but overall it is a game that rewards tenacious and thought out play, while mixing in random elements to keep things fresh.

Well worth a play.

Played during free trial for xbox game pass. While the setting and story are interesting, the game is just sports. Kind of reminds me of blitzball from FF10. Since I do not like sports, I stopped playing this after the first match.
