An intense, solid and pretty fun short game
I played this one mostly because the previous game of Wonderboy Bobi (the developer, just one person), Aggelos, turned into one of my favourite indie games in history.
And I'm not disappointed at all. Tanuki Justice is a Run & Gun with a lot of platforms. Is simple: advance, jump and attack with your shurikun. And Wonderboy Bobi manages again …
I played this one mostly because the previous game of Wonderboy Bobi (the developer, just one person), Aggelos, turned into one of my favourite indie games in history.
And I'm not disappointed at all. Tanuki Justice is a Run & Gun with a lot of platforms. Is simple: advance, jump and attack with your shurikun. And Wonderboy Bobi manages again to make an incredibly fun game with that. The game may be short, but the six levels are great and the controls are pretty fluid.
There are three difficulties: Normal, Hard and Insane. I finished it in Hard, and it was hard, but fair. The most difficult areas were a lot of fun. Boss fights were cool. Normal should be right for most players, and Insane is... well, insanely hard. Too hard for me, but I would like to complete the game in that difficulty some day.
The game also has cool retro style graphics and catchy music.
So it's easy to know what Tanuki Justice has to offer. And it's pretty good in that. I will be interested in next Wonderboy Bobi games.
