The gameplay looks really polished when you watch it but it's actually pretty inconsistent and unsatisfying.

Is this even a game?

This is not even a playable game for god's sake. It just shoves a bunch of crappy cutscenes down your throat one after another for hours and hours. I've been on this game for 3 hours and have yet to play a basketball match. Don't even waste your money or time.

So much hatred around this basketball game, but I can understand their pain though. Thankfully, I don't really care about My Career nor My Team mode. All I care about is the My League mode. I can only laugh about the casino games because they are so absurd and ridiculous. This kind of thing just does not belong in a serious sports simulation and always distracts me from the actual game, because I want to play basketball in NBA 2K and not spin lucky wheels. Without casino and VC, NBA 2K would be a far better game. So I get that it makes a few missteps in several modes and the gameplay is also pretty much the same as before, but it’s still a reigning champion in its genre as EA going hiatus with Live. Until next year's 2K21 vs Live 21, maybe?
