Half-Life Decay: This is pretty interesting it's a hack/port to PC from a PS2 release of an 'add on' for half-life by gearbox, presumably same folks that brought the blueshift and opposing force 'add ons'. It's shorter than oppforce and blushift but i thought it was better experience... because it keeps in theme and provides another viewpoint of what happened when the game took place. This may be one of the better mods out there (not really a mod but it feels like a mod), its about 4-5 hours and a bit buggy to get goin (source methods vary) but it's worth it to learn more about black mesa stuff you didnt know about! Gina Cross and Collete Green two black mesa scientists in two player co-op action. And sometimes they make comments and talk. "Good shot." "Ouch!" "That was left heanded," etc. (Gordon should hang out with them more ad do some group dating maybe he'd become more outgoing) there are a lot of little details here that are even a bit nicer than the regular game (such as the health machines and suit …

In general the design here is pretty good and it holds up. This is a bit tricky to do with one player but i did manage.
since there is no saving you might want to do it in one go, BUT you quit this (or have a few crashes) and come back to it and just load the name of the map you were on. somehow it tracks whats been completed (but you dont know the names of the maps so will have to figure it out)
works on classic HL (pre steam, though i see videos of people getting it going on steam too)
start regular, 'activate' Decay, back to main, HL Lan game, start first map. (Source will have differnet method)
tricks: ~ bind g "changeplayer" (i had to do this, default settings didnt work)
oh, if you want to cheat:
sv_cheats 1
restart
All in all really quite nice in many ways I was surprise! highly recommended if you are a black mesa vet and ever get hankering to go back to play the regular game. You'll appreciate this hidden gem for the backstory merged with proper design of the levels themselves and it's not long at all. I wonder why valve prevented this from being released on PC, it's quite good and does the series a lot of justice imo. More people should have played it i didnt even know about it. You'd think this would have been a bit more of interest in this post lull HL2 to HL(i wont say it) transition/apocalypse and people would uncover it.
