Day 22 - MADE IT INTO ROOM 46! Roll Credits.

Day 22 - MADE IT INTO ROOM 46! Roll Credits.

What a fun game that makes me feel absolutely stupid... I know there's so much I still haven't uncovered. luckily I can continue playing and finding more secrets.

But yeah, this game sucked me in and didn't let go until I managed to solve the mystery of Room 46 (and stumble across many more mysteries along the way). It's clever, and hides so much in plain sight in some really ingenious ways.

The music also does a lot of the emotional heavy lifting, and even though I'm still fuzzy on some of the story details it feels impactful.

Great game if you want to challenge yourself, your observation skills, memory, and note-taking skills. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going back to the St. Holly Manor. Maybe this run I can power up that darn arcade or find more microchips or open the vault...

Day 21. I figured out how to open room 46 and even collected 3 red envelopes so far.

Now I just need a good draft so I can actually get to the antechamber 😅

I just hit end credits and while I'm very excited to keep going I cannot BELIEVE I didn't get to actually walk around room 46

This game is slow to start. I am 8 hours in/on day 29 and am just really starting to understand the scope. It's also taken me this long to feel that the randomness is actually very cool and not annoying, which I did definitely feel for the first several hours. This game is slow to start. I am 8 hours in/on day 29 and am just really starting to understand the scope. It's also taken me this long to feel that the randomness is actually very cool and not annoying, which I did definitely feel for the first several hours. I think understanding that the day counter isn't a timer but just a way for you to mentally separate and restart has really helped my enjoyment as well. Glad I've stuck with it but it was 100% a slow burn to get to the juicy stuff

I love puzzle games. I've always enjoyed them and as I've gotten older they've only gotten higher and higher on my list of preferred genres of video games. My most anticipated game of the year was the Golden Idol sequel. I mention this to say that I'm coming up on 20 hours in Blue Prince and I really do not understand the 9/10, 10/10 scores. It's fine. It's a good game. It's a solid 6.5 or 7 out of 10. But to me it's a beautiful idea done in the most tedious manner possible. I leave every session, having hit a wall of RNG, either bored, annoyed or both.

What am I missing?

There are an extraordinary number of layers to Blue Prince. Every hour I am learning new things that I need to write down in my notebook. Things that you have passed by a hundred times, stuff you thought was just decoration, become things to hunt for and notate when you get new information.

This game is brilliant, but the RNG-ness of it is going to be the equivalent of the ship controls in Outer Wilds; certain people will just bounce right off this because of this specific design decision of the game.

I'm so glad Blue Prince is getting rave reviews!

The demo was so good and I've been waiting for the full game for months now. I can't wait to play this

The demo is really good. You can already start solving some puzzles and understanding how the game works.

I didn't take any notes since I want to start fresh when the full game comes out, but there's so much to learn each run if you pay attention to your surroundings.

Very promising.

Probably the most satisfying demo I've ever played. Can't wait for the full game.
