bad port of the game with the good trees

ok so the load times in this are just unbearable. you have to load to get to a title screen, then you have to load to get to another damn menu!!!

lets get serious thouhg... this isnt 1995 and i dont write for gamepro. at this point im basically willingly submitting myself to these load times and also i can read twitter on my cell phone while the game is loading.

its a weird little curio... its a strange jewel... its a dazzling insight into what we put up with... what the unresearched game rental looked like ... it is easy to forget in our big comfy chairs with our big cigars and our snifters filled to the brim with sharp but rich armagnac, so full that we have to bring our lips down tot he glasses to take the first sip because if we pick those babies up theyre gonna spill all over our antique persian rugs, that the playstation experience did not look like metal gear solid for most of us... it didn't even look like tomb raider... it was renting 'gex' for the weekend and enjoying a 1:1 ratio of load times and actually playing the damn …

things that are bad: the new tracks. the new cars. the laod times. the color palette. it looks ugly now. shameful. the people who ported this game straight up did not understand what made the original game good. things that are good: the fact that the title of this port of sega's game virtua racing on sega's home console is 'time warner interactive's VR virtua racing.' the rerecorded music is actually pretty neat fwiw

you might be asking me why im playing this crappy port of a game when i could A. be playing better ports of better sega arcade racing games on the saturn B. be playing this a better port of this specific game on literally any other system its available for

the ansewr to both questions is that i just want you, the grouvee gaming public, to be informed... to have what you need to succeed in this high-stakes world of gaming.
