Finally beat this and boy I think this really is the surprise hit of my year. This was SO good across the board. Cannot recommend enough.

Despite this game being absolutely fantastic, there are admittedly certain segments that are completely incomprehensible, given absolutely no explanation as to how to do them, and you're just thrown in expected not to fail. That's mildly infuriating. But really they're far and few between, so I don't think it's enough of a criticism to bother me ultimately and bog my …

Fully animated cutscenes, hilarious dialogue, excellent meta humor, fantastic soundtrack, really well voice acted and all kinds of gameplay types from (mostly) brawler to schmups to Rayman Legends-esque platforming. Excellent. Cannot recommend enough.

Having never been a fan of the original, this version is actually pretty entertaining.

Botchedtoads

Yikes, this was worse than I expected. In a year that also saw Streets of Rage 4, it’s hard to argue for playing this game.

P.S. Forced analogue controls in a 2D brawler is a big con in my book.

Meh..

Battletoads is clearly a game designed to be played with other people, while playing through the levels solo I found myself constantly being overwhelmed on all sides with more and more enemies just taking huge chunks of your life bar, having to dodge more incoming projectiles and break their guards, it became a huge headache just trying to advance anywhere.

Puro estilo noventero

Nice Comeback

Played the PC version.

This game was fun, especially with a couple of friends. Sadly we played with Parsec since there is no online cooperative so I had some lag problems in some stages, especially the turbo tunnel one.

If you have game pass I recommend this game a lot

Completed on "Battletoads" difficulty in co-op with 1 friend. A mediocre game overall, has only a few good moments.

Atrocious toads

This game is absolutely atrocious! I won't waste my time telling you why. Just watch or play the last two acts and you'll understand. Not even the couch co-op could save it. Even the mini-games are dull as hell!

Everything is either VERY unbalanced or VERY boring. PLEASE, do not waste your time in it! I BEG you!

OK, is it just me, or does this game look rough? I am fine with the artistic style of the animated cut scenes, they look like a fairly contemporary kids' cartoon, but the actual gameplay segments lack visual depth.
