Uncle Scrooge found a magical necklace on a mysterious island, but the necklace put a curse on him. Now Uncle Scrooge is doomed to float around in the air forever! (Of course Donald always said Scrooge was full of hot air anyway!) To take the curse off Uncle Scrooge, Donald has to take the necklace back to the island. But there's plenty of danger awaiting Donald there. How about lending him a hand?

Decent For A Handheld 93 Game, But Flawed And Better To Stick With The First One

Preliminary: Nice it correct some of the issues I didn't like abuot the first one, namely the inability to go backward. And tho it feels quite banal and like it probly wont earn another 5 star like the first one which had surprised me, it seems I may end up playing through it. I think the Game Gear version (which came out first) is faster than the Master System, and thank goodness it came out first because slow movement is one of my least favorite things in a platformer.

Well okay I'm definitely noticing a sluggishness already in the 2nd level :-p and some severely questionable choices like the way the camera moves with me making some jumps really awkward because you can't see the ground. And sometimes the UI gets hidden lol why is that on a background layer.

Ahhh the sluggishness I noticed seems more so due to sprite overload slowdown, not a mechanic of your movement. The sluggishness and clunkiness in general are definitely affecting my enjoyment of it, with some of the platform collision masks and precise jumps needed being becoming mroe and more annoying with the sprite slowdowns. All that being said, it's still impressive …

Hmmm precise controls and collision masks are what make or break a platformer for me. Those last minute dodges and jumps make a game. And this one occasionally has it but too often has sprite slowdown and clunky issues. This should be a 3star and move on but here I am done with the Volcano and seems there are only a few more areas left. If I'm remembering correctly you had a hammer to attack with in the first one... let me confirm that. Cuz if they took the ability to attack with a hammer away... then this one deserves at beast a 3 star and move on... Yep they took it away for the box kicking. Which I do enjoy but why not in addition?!

Look: 7.5/10 Impressive for a handheld game in 93

Sound: 7/10

Play: 7.5/10 Gotta acknowledge I played longer than most 93 platformers, but still... So many flaws

Feel: 7.5/10 Again, I was oddly hooked, but it's not a great game.

Attachment: 7/10 I'll stick with the first one for replays.

Overall: 7.3/10

Completion: Partway through the Inlet level

Playtime: ~40 mins
