Main game

The short time I spent with this game had it's fun moments, the gameplay was easy to learn, wrestlers look acceptable for it's time and there were a good selection of match types available. Unfortunately what dampened the overall experience was the 'blink and you miss it' story mode, painful load times and god awful commentary that's left wishing you had the TV on mute. Ultimately the main component that sells these games is content, something severely lacking in this title.

It was the jump from the PS1 to PS2. that intro at the beginning is still one of the biggest scam in gaming, honestly. I'm going to make quick. presentation is fun, graphics are decent. not bad, not good. aura and feeling are fantastic, gameplay is fast, chaotic, match types could've been better, and still retains the attitude WWF gaming prospective. controls are easy to grasp, the season mode is short, albeit fun.
Now, its best to try and ignore the commentary, the load times, the fact that Fred Durst took a place in the roaster, the poor selection of content, the short season mode, and you've got a decent, not that bad type of a game. it is still a WWF game from the attitude era at its core. you will still have as much fun as the PS1 counterparts, and maybe more if you have got up to 8 players to play this. this is the only WWF/WWE game to allow this on the ps2. Just keep your expectations low and you will be fine with this game.
