I was going to delete this game and move on after beating it once, but then I decided to play one more run. And then another one.
I have 14+ hours spent playing this game, and I still keep finding new weapons and items to keep me entertained.
There's something addictive about inserting stars into star slots to upgrade your items and getting a new free item once you max out the one you have.
I don't like the final boss, it becomes bullet hell, but the rest of the game is quite fun and addictive.

Voidigo is one of those indie games that look great on screenshot and even greater when actually playing. A very colorful top up shooter with pixel like graphics. It's also roguelike meaning that the levels in the game are generated which lead to endless possibilities and fun! However, this doesn't make the entire game roguelike: enemies and collectibles are not roguelike. They just spawn in different looking worlds for everyone. An interesting twist: a roguelike shooter with a game story. You don't see that often. Upgrade your camp with the destruction of continuous voids by beating bosses in various worlds. Seems easy right? Wrong. While the tag is missing on the game page, I for sure would classify this as difficult due to the amount of work that has to be put into beating the boss in every world by traveling to different locations of the map and being surrounded by a bunch of smaller enemies which you can't really avoid. Also if you die, as its a roguelike game, you land in a new world with a new enemy that has a full health bar. Great. So try not to die right at the end of his HP. That's the worst. Other than that, it's fun. Just be prepared for the challenge.
The graphics of this game are beautiful. Any PC could run them (NOT YOU, Mac boys!). Crisp lines, no flickering or what else. And the coloring is amazing. I was in awe while playing this game from the moment I started it to closing it. Its rare to see such a colorful game. Sure, colorful games exist but usually its to saturated to the point its not fun anymore or less interactive such as a novel. However this game is different: it just got the perfect mix of colorful colors to not be over the top. The only time this can get disturbing is when the game uses different shades of the same color on the same interface. Other than that, the colors ot this game are something you wont see often in games making it a surreal experience!
Lastly, is the game worth it? For me yes. At first I was unsure about the definition of roguelike and was surprised to die and be generated into a new world, so keep that in mind. Glitches ,bugs or the sort I couldn't find any in the game. However, something important to mention is that if you play with a controller, it vibrates alot. More than usual games you have played. I can guarantee that. But you can turn that off in the settings If I recon correctly. Other than that, I don't see any other issues. The story is long enough, stretching various bosses and upgrades for hours of fun for the game's price. So if you are into trying a newer kind of shooter than you're used to, go ahead and get yourself this game!
