This is an interesting game into which I feel I can sink a decent amount of time. I never played half-life 1 or 2, so the way you interact with the world is not second nature to me like it could be for some in this game. I also don't play too many games with typical PC-Keyboard controls so sometimes it feels a bit cluttered trying to navigate the controls. I suspect a bit of this is also intentional given the game's genre. However, with a little bit of tweaking I know I won't bounce off this game because the core of scanning is pretty addictive. It seems to be a game where I can overcome the stress of everything deteriorating around me because the loop of job/discovery/self-care seems intuitive enough. Hopefully I also find whatever not so normal events may await me in this world worth sticking around to discover. The vibes here are similar to what I got from Pacific Drive... too bad driving felt awful in that game.
